Lavender Arrowhead Tetraploid
HYBRIDIZER: Stamile
YEAR OF REGISTRATION: 1999
SCAPE HEIGHT: 36"
FLOWER SIZE: 9 inches
TIME OF BLOOM: Early Midseason
FOLIAGE HABIT: Evergreen
COLOR: Lavender with chartreuse watermark above chartreuse yellow appliquéd throat.
FORM: Unusual Form, Crispate
GARDEN NOTES: H. The edge of H. 'Lavender Arrowhead' is a stunning plant in the garden, or for the connoisseur. Although bud count is not particularly high, the plant is covered with blooms during its long bloom season due to a generous production of scapes. It is fertile both ways. The colors are the clearest in cooler weather, and as the season wears on, the lavender petals turn toward a beige tone. It is difficult to even imagine it as a crispate Unusual Form.
