GARDEN NOTES: H. 'Strawberry Candy' puts on a most impressive display of blooms that always open easily. Petals have a lightly ruffled edge with the same color as the eyezone. Although registered as an "Early Midseason" bloomer, it usually starts blooming closer to Midseason for me. Its foliage has been fully dormant, rather than semi-evergreen. It is extremely pod fertile. Yes, I'm still growing this classic daylily after twenty years!
