Wild Horses Tetraploid
HYBRIDIZER: Trimmer
YEAR OF REGISTRATION: 1999
SCAPE HEIGHT: 37"
FLOWER SIZE: 7 inches
TIME OF BLOOM: Early
FOLIAGE HABIT: Evergreen
COLOR: Cream yellow with black purple halo above green yellow throat.
GARDEN NOTES: H. 'Wild Horses' grabs you from afar, because its "halo" is really a dark eye. The plant displays its blooms over a long season, thanks to the strong rebloom. In the early part of the season, when the weather is still cool, it may be slow to open, but it eventually gets there. Once the summer temperatures arrive, it is open by early morning. The rebloom flowers are an especially rich, complex color.
